We have detailed troubleshooting guides available below this FAQ section covering the most common forced reset trigger issues. These guides walk through affordable and practical fixes for common performance problems.
We recommend reviewing the guide that matches your specific issue before contacting support.
Where you should start.
Like diagnosing an illness, you want to start with the symptoms.
The super safety can be sensitive to non milspec stock AR parts, and sometimes all you need is a quick gas adjustment, a Heavier buffer weight, or some more lubricant.

why does My super saftey make my bolt stick?
A common malfunction involves excessive friction between the safety selector cam and its detent, often caused by an Over tensioned grip detent spring. The elevated spring force creates a frictional threshold that the BCG cannot overcome when racking the charging handle, preventing the lever from returning to its forward position.
To solve this, the spring tension in your detent spring must be reduced. This is achieved by removing the grip, detent, and spring, and strategically trimming 1-2 coils from the spring incrementally. After reassembly, a function test with the complete firearm is mandatory to ensure the bCG no longer remains stuck.
Warning: Insufficient detent tension, resulting from excessive coil removal, will fail to secure the safety selector, creating an unsafe Firing Condition during weapon operation. make sure to trim only what you need and to test incrementally to ensure the spring tension remains adequate.
Another solution is to use a stronger buffer spring. you may cheat this by placing 1-5 quarters in the back of your buffer tube before the spring to strengthen spring tension. We recommend Quarters as they are the perfect size to slip into the buffer tube assembly before adding your spring to use as shims or spacers. this will reduce the space inside of the buffer tube and lower the chance of bolt overtravel into the buffer tube, causing the ramp on the bottom of your bolt carrier to bind with the super safety lever. this is my personal go to fix, as polishing the lever reduces the integrity of the lever and voids the warranty on our super safeties.
Why Does my super saftey not fire again after the first round?
Verify you are using a Full Auto BCG. Some manufacturers use Semi Auto BCGs which lack the rear opening to activate the lever. you May feel the reset as it goes back, but it will be left locked up.
verify you are using a low shelf lower. some Manufacturers use high shelf lowers to make it harder for dIY conversions of your aR-15. Material may need to be removed from the shelf to actuate the lever and cam rotation. see picture below for an example of each shelf.
will this work with my pcc bcg in my ar-9?
yes, but verify your pCC has a compatible bCG. You may need to modify the bolt weight or replace it with one that sits flush in the opening. see picture below for example.
Super Selector Troubleshooting
Why does my Super Selector Not work in 3rd position?
this is the most common issue with the selectors by far. below is a very simple guide to get your selector resetting properly.
verify your aR is using a mil-spec trigger that is to spec. You can Immediately tell if you have a poorly spec’d trigger if when you pull the trigger in the 3rd position, it acts like it is on safe, and never sets the hammer off. This is a simple fix, however.
begin by removing the trigger from the lower. with the trigger facing towards the barrel of the weapon, the right side wall has too much material and will need to be thinner to clear the super selector lever and wall to function. diagrams below on what wall it should clear properly.
if the trigger is out of spec, it will not allow the trigger to clear the selector’s wall pictured on the left just above the trigger. you can remove material on the right hand side of the trigger to allow clearance, fixing the issue. example of how much material you should remove pictured below.
